It's a really interesting idea. It's going to be fascinating to see how it plays out with the constant expansion of the internet.

David Crystal is an English linguist that has written both popular and academic texts on the subject. I thank him for making more people aware of how language ACTUALLY works without being too aggressive as many academics are when it comes to linguistics. That's mostly because most of the popular conceptions about language are at least 70% false.

Because it's fun to speak, the learning curve isn't too steep, it has great literature, and because it's really fun to say eichhoernchen.

I like German literature because it can be philosophical without being dry, it can be poetic without being air-headed, and it can be completely enjoyable without being a waste of time.

Not really the easiest language to speak or write, but it's actually quite fun to learn. Just make sure you learn simplified characters at first, because you'll want to die if you don't.

Taken purely as an ethical philosophy, I find Taoism to be extremely fulfilling and comforting. What's more, I think that it's the natural response to problems of many people in contemporary society. Some of the mysticism is a bit odd, though.

I honestly never thought Boris would make pop music... if you can call it that. But even less likely, I never expected that I would like this kind of music.

Because you understand a language if you're reading this. If you can understand a language, why not try to understand language?

I don't have to say anything about how this is the greatest game ever. But it's the greatest album ever.

With this book, Nietzsche can simultaneously make people who search for scientific certitude and those who look for revealed truths to look like total buffoons.

While Sleep may be a band that is quite esoteric and drug-ridden, there's a heavy atmosphere on this album that's undeniable. I love to turn this on while I'm surfing the internet, reading for school, or writing out homework. It requires patience. Many people won't appreciate one song that's over an hour long. That's unfortunate for them.

Boris seems to have a paradigm shift with every album. While there are elements that they have hinted on previously on this record, I can say that they have achieved their goal again. I feel that this album drags at times, not in that it's boring, but in that some of the songs are really less than enjoyable. Aileron and Riot Sugar are among their best, though.

Goethe was a genius, but what's inspiring is that he lived his life as a person, not as an intellect or a common-senseless brain in a vat.

Kafka's work is a masterful balance of the strong will to face the absurdity of life and the lack of understanding that one truly has of their own human drama.
