Ate this book in a few days. Does a great job in creating a coherent story involving civilizations of many different levels of technological maturity and ends in a typical Iain M Banks fashion.

Awesome book. Nice story with some complexity set in Banks his great Culture universe and with the occasional hilarious in-joke or view of primitive civilizations (such as ours) from the viewpoint of the Culture.

I read a lot of these books but I don't know what correct label would be, maybe not hard sci-fi, but at least deep.
Artificial Sarcastic Intelligences floating across space annihilating fleets of enemy starships, while making witty remarks about humanity. Love it! I wish someone made a movie about this.
It is part of the "Culture" series but really connected to other books so have a go.

Greatly enjoyed enders game. But had to suffer through this one, and just bailed out a third through. Does it get more interesting after that, or does it stick with the same, from my perspective dull, focus on interpersonal relations?

Half way through and absolutely loving it, probably more so then the other Culture novels I've read so far :)

Plays most file formats and doesn't make a massive footprint on your computer. Awesome for any platform.

Switched from Windows 7 to Kubuntu 1.5 years ago, and did not look back. KDE is awesome :)

Great and interesting book. Loses some points on being repetitive though, esp in the first half. Re-explaining something to make sure the reader got some concept is fine. But not if you do it more then once >_>

A three edged sword; Awesomeness, awesomeness and cancellation :/

Time as a currency, not as crazy as it might appear on first glance. Sentience requires computation, which requires time. It's the ultimate currency.

Automatically classified as awesomeness for me by the machine learning algorithms of this website :)

Boo! Supreme Commander is the best RTS I know. How can you take away the things that made it great rather then build upon them in the piece of shit sequel which is just some another tactics game with flashy visuals. The higher you rise, the further you can fall. This game proved it.

The first book was rather disappointing for me, it simply does not contain what want to find in a hard science fiction novel. If you're into ancient rome and history in general, sure, it can be nice, but otherwise it's dull. Second book, exultant, was fantastic, and almost makes up for the first. Resplendent, the 4th one was quite nice, neat read the third yet.

The movie based on the anime based on the manga by Shirow Masamune. A classic in the anime world and one of the Wachowski's direct influences for The Matrix. Seriously, some scenes were almost literally ripped off from this. But this will satisfy you in ways that The Matrix never could. Also comes with 100% less Keeanu Reeves.

Absolutely loved both seasons of this series. It has lot's of interesting plot twists and depicts the relatively near future in a realistic way, hinting at a lot of the challenges humanity will have to face in a decade or two, as well as the amazing new capabilities we'll have at our disposal. Not to forget: great music.

Super intuitive, but take a look at the high scores and you realize how incredibly hard it can be--as well as how inadequate you are it.

Loved the three books in this series. To bad Clarke passed away before the story got a real ending though :(
