Easy to learn but a rendering challenge.

Completely insane. Asian mythos and dieties mixed with a sci-fi setting and topped with the over-the-top action of Dragonball Z.
QTE heavy, it plays like a TV series with commercial breaks, previews of the next episode, etc. Love it or hate it, it's undeniably original.

Get Behind Me Satan...holy crap, my ears are in heaven right now. Every track is gold, pure audio gold.

One of my biggest Guilty Pleasure movies of all time. Cool king fu, pretty interesting plot, plus dude it's Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the same movie!

Pros: Bullet curving. Cons: Took a figurative dump on everything the graphic novel stood for. Please read Mark Millar's masterpiece, you'll never want to watch this movie again after you see the characters through Millar's eyes.

Fiendish and frenetic, Split/Second does well to exist on both a visceral level of extreme racing and intelligent enough to mix up levels through the game's different modes.
While it can't quite compete with Criterion in terms of an arcade racer, Split/Second has enough content to keep even an avid racer preoccupied for the majority of a weekend. Great, cheap pickup for an adrenaline junkie.

Mark Waid (and for that matter the entire BOOM! imprint) has been outputting some of the most fantastic comics on the indie scene. Irredeemable is Waid at his best. Truly mold-breaking and absolutely brutal. He weaves some of the best story lines of anyone in the industry and you can't help but take notice. Later issues haven't impressed me as much as the earlier entries though...

Probably the most beautiful piano sonata ever written.

Nearly every iteration of the franchise has its own personality with some more likable than others (ODST I'm looking in your direction) But Reach is seriously the most unruly yet! It's frenetic, fast-paced and fun, and while tons of FPSs these days feel like a grind, Reach never gets there.
While the campaign is a little short for my liking, multiplayer composes the majority of its longevity!

Unpredictable and thrilling! Brian K. Vaughn's exploration of Yorrick's psyche is absolutely marvelous. While Vaughn's social commentary of gender inequality is extremely inventive in its own right, he manages to make the story even more accessible to audiences by having some truly hysterical dialogue between Yorrick and his female accomplices.
Cannot recommend this series enough!

With the death of Ultimate being, well...final, there's a lot happening to Spidey at the moment. To be perfectly honest, he's tough to avoid (not that I'd want to!) but between Amazing, Ultimate and now FF there's a lot of Spidey to go around.
So much of Dan Slott's recent run on Amazing has been truly extraordinary. Some may hate it, but IMO captures the perfect essence of Spider-Man.

Even in the company's twilight years Rare still managed to put out some of their most unique and addictive titles (this being one of them!) While raising pinatas may not sound like your cup of tea, some addictive gameplay mechanics will have you in your pinata garden every moment free minute you have!
Not a 360 title that's universally recommendable, but is a spectacular CoD, Gears alternative!

This is one of the worst kept secrets of the gaming world! A spectacular title that could've flew under the radar but was hyped in tight gaming circles the world over for its absolutely breath-taking visuals (For its time) and challenging, but rewarding gameplay.
With an HD remake on the way hopefully a whole new player-base will get to experience the magic of this beloved PS2 gem.

As someone who's easily put in 150+ hours into this game (and another 200 in its sequel) I can firmly recommend this title for any tactics lover out there. Battles are fluid, and believe-it-or-not tactics actually play a vital role in the game (Who knew right?)
While Grimoires of the Rift is a fantastic game in its own right, FFTA is still a shining addition to the genre. Why not pick up both?

What makes Naruto such a beloved franchise is that: while all the characters on the show aren't extremely 3D they each have certain relatable aspects.
And Naruto is the perfect illustration of this. A true zero to hero tale, and while it's been done before the supporting cast of characters are just as interesting (and sometimes even more so) But when that music is playing you can't help but smile

Bioware's triumphant rise to the top began long before Jade Empire was even conceived, but is a shining example of a skilled company experimenting with a new IP. Jade Empire is on many gamer's "Top Xbox Games" lists and for good reason. Everything that Dragon Age and Mass Effect are known for originated in these previous Bioware entries.
Just in case you didn't get the message: play this game!

Exciting time for consumers, especially us gamers on a tight budget! The only advice I have for those new (and some old veterans) to the handheld market is: try before you buy, 3D may not be exactly what you had in mind. 2. Plan out your purchases. This will make the system worth way more to you if you have your games preselected and aren't left with a $170 dust collector.

While it had one of the smallest game libraries of any big N console, it produced a few stellar titles! Original Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Kart Double Dash round out some of the highlights on the system. But beyond those, this console was known to have something for everyone. (Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Donkey Konga) just to give you a sense of the variety!

One of the coolest announcements to come out of ComicCon this year! While this package is incredibly pricey, the super large hard drive more than compensates for the price. But why doesn't the Kinect get the same styling the console and controller do? =(

SO. MUCH. BULLET TIME. I just beat it and mostly the game was a worthwhile endeavor. There's an incredibly deep story here (maybe I'm reading into it too much) but even if you completely ignore the plot there's more than enough action to keep any shooter happy.
It's definitely something strange and different. Stands out from the crowd so in my mind that's what makes it worth the 6 hours.
