Two birds with one stone.

Ridiculous, juvenile, gory and fun as all hell - basically, everything Duke Nukem Forever wishes it was.

Beautiful and completely bloody insane. The action is frenetic and the controls are smooth as silk. Another great action game from the makers of Bayonetta.

A worthy successor to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, one of the best games to ever grace consoles. Gorgeous graphics, incredible characters, and clever gameplay that bleeds into the storytelling - and vice versa. Also, Indiana Jones approved: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVlViaNxAOs&ob=av3e

One of the best downloadable games available this year. Fast, tactical gameplay, gorgeous water-color visuals, and one of the more clever methods of storytelling to have come along in a long while. A great action-rpg with tons of depth.

An oft ignored gem on the playstation. With three different modes: a simple but fun 3-D fighting game, a collection of somewhat lacklustre minigames, and mainly, and excellent roguelike!
The roguelike is the main draw of the game for me, well balanced, easy to get into and yet still challenging, its a shame it got shafted in favour of the fighting game. All in all a great game for anyone's taste

One of the best ways to listen to music when in front of the computer. Audiosurf uses your music (.mp3s, etc) to create tracks that you guide your little ship down, dodging obstacles and collecting points. Been playing this for years and still come back to it.

I don't really like going out to brunch that much, either.
BRUNCH IS A SCAM BECAUSE*
brunch costs too much money
too long of a wait
drinking in the morning ruins your day
brunch ruins your day
having to leave your apt before you’ve eaten sucks
seeing other people in the morning sucks
it’s pretty much lunch

At once a loving throwback and a beautiful update to the classic Mario platforming formula. Worth getting a 3DS for this alone.

Brilliant Wired article by Jason Tanz about Facebook games, Skinner boxes, gamification, cow clicking, and other fascinating projects/ideas by Ian Bogost.

A pure blast. Good, old-fashioned fun in the palm of your hand.

Deep, intuitive, beautiful, and intensely addictive. Some of the most fun you'll ever have on your iAnything.

Gorgeous print from one of the best films of the year. The stretched canvas in particular looks amazing

Fantastic track off Los Campesinos! new album, "Hello Sadness." Pulsing with youthful energy and a vicious, albeit humorous, undercurrent, it represents everything that LC! is about.

Heartwrenchingly grim, with a dark humor and an aching heartbeat pounding below every word, this is a beautiful, powerful novel about what happens when you hit rock bottom, figuratively, while those around you hit it in an all-too-literal sense. A book you won't soon forget.

Absolutely classic - later games added more monsters, but this is the one put together the whole sweet recipe.

Beautiful and unpredictable, with a certain air of tragedy about most of the tracks, particularly the title track. Absolutely gorgeous vocals and surprising fretwork - check out "Surgeon" for one of the most noodley riffs of any track in 2011

Excellent follow-up to their debut album, "Astrocoast". The tracks on offer aren't quite as strong as the best stuff from the full-length, like "Swim" and "Anchorage", but they're breezy and show some surprising variety stylistically. A great little EP, full of strong guitar riffs and smooth vocals

Fantastic superhero movie. It combines fantasy and science-fiction in unexpected and fantastic ways, and ties back to the comic series perfectly. A really great film
