We used it as a depiction of the totalitarian regime back, e.q. Soviet Union, back in the years.
Looks like it could be used to describe an Obama - epoche in the US

One of the classic 80ies movies, along with 'Breakfast Club', '16 Candles', 'Pretty In Pink'...

French know how to make a comedy a 'Comedy'. IMHO, sequels are not as funny, but still much better, than the US version of 'Taxi'

Although it's a decent comedy, I recommend 'The Visitors' - the original French comedy with its sequel. The original is much better. Were you fluent in French would be even better… Trust me!

Have a listen, and you would understand

Spoof of '007' with Sean Connery as James Bond. Want to spend approx 2hrs just relaxing and laughing without an extensive usage of gray brain matter - watch it, trust me!

Pictures look vibrant
Depending on dimensions of the camera, and possible 'glitches' it's worth looking into

Pick your favourite 'comfort food', dim the lights, get the scented candle, a bottle of wine for you and your partner, or for yourself, curl up on the sofa, et voila...

Make a couple of bags of popcorn and grab yourself a large pepperoni pie or pie with topping (s) of your choice, and settle in for a hilarious yet relaxing weekend telly viewing.

Finally, not a show overly glorifying everyday life or 'glassing' over unpleasant details of routine goings of the 'spooks' lives. Also sheds (more or less) the light on the interactions between '5' and 'SIS' and between '5' and the 'cousins' from across the 'Pond'.
Bloody decent show.

'Love conquers it all'… Sorry for using a stereotypical quote, but it seems quite befitting to characterize this version for a 'silver screen' of S. Gruen's novel. IMHO, though, emotions in the novel are more nuanced.
All in all, a movie to watch on your couch under the throw, preferably with your partner, and if the latter is being searched for or unavailable for some reason, a cocoa'd do.

Utter loss of the time, and a finality of the loss of what have never happened…
Joy and pain of forgiveness.
Squeezing feeling of pain and loss...

What can I say? You just gotta listen to him, and if you understand Spanish and/or French - even better. Obviously he had a few compositions in English - a couple recorded together with Diana Ross, but French and Spanish albums/compositions are much better, in my subjective opinion anyway.

The music! The lyrics!
What else? Oh, yeah: Heavy Metal Rules!

British humor not quite subtle, but fantastically not so crude. Plenty of double entendres. Fun and relaxation time for those who keep their brain facilities sharp and who want to keep them that way.

Great filet mignon. Waiting staff is relatively non - pretentious.
