Ridiculous? Don't you think that's a little insulting?

Feeling evil? This ice cube tray allows you to freeze Han Solo in "carbonite" just like Vader! Great for fans of kitschy Star Wars-related things.

Ridiculous mixed media sculptures. Love seeing the sketches vs. the final product.

Cha Ye Dan - Literally "Tea Leaf Eggs" are an amazingly delightful Chinese street food. They have the permeating flavor of anise and smoke while being sweet and earthy. Check out this recipe from Saveur and make sure to use enough sugar and steep the eggs for a couple of days.

Long Jing is the quintessential and most highly regarded Chinese Green Tea. Meaning "Dragon Well" it comes specifically and only from the area in the hills near West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. I have been to the dragon well a few times and the trip is worth it for this amazing tea.

West LA Japanese specialty restaurant. This place is all Yakitori and grilled skewers. A great vibe and great food with a somewhat unique asian food experience, I love love this place.

A Taiwanese restaurant with branches in the US including this one in LA whose specialty is a Shanghainese dumpling. This is a good solid place to go get your Xiao Long Bao Fix. They also have a decent array of vegetable dishes. Not quite dim sum, but this place is somewhat of a Chinese style breakfast eatery.

Great authentic ramen in west LA. Inside the food court at a Japanese supermarket.

Im very mixed on this place. I applaud the passion and realize how much work great ice cream is, but the prices are kind of beyond outrageous. The pictured 3 scoops (melon ball sized, 2 bite scoops)will run you over $6 and a pint is like $20. They have great ice cream but somehow they set up detracts a bit from the joy of eating ice cream.

I rarely find myself not enjoying an episode of Seinfeld. Very absurdist yet clever in the way it builds to the absurdity.
Cons: Show does show signs of aging, but it is better than 98% of all comedies currently on the airwaves.

The Pasadena location has a nice vibe with beer and wine on tap and a cafe menu to order from.
